James Brady Speaking at Press Meet

(Original Caption) Washington, DC: Coming Back. James Brady, White House Press Secretary, is on hand November 9th for a ceremony in which the refurbished White House West Wing Press Room is reopened. Shot in the head when president Reagan also was wounded by a gunman March 30th, Brady, 41, has been hospitalized ever since and has undergone four operations. Known as "The Bear," Brady displayed his customary warmth and wit during his visit to the Press Room. Told by a reporter, "We miss you, Jim," Brady first said, "I miss you." Then after a look around the room, he added dryly, "I miss most of you."
