MOSUL, IRAQ - 2025/10/16: Cardinal Louis Raphael Sako, the Patriarch of the Chaldean Catholic Church (L), with Archbishop Najib Mikhael Moussa, Chaldean Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Mosul and Aqrah, hold the consecration ceremony of Al-Tahira Chaldean Church after its reconstruction. The restoration of the Al-Tahira Chaldean Church, which dates back to the mid-18th century, was part of the "Mosul Mosaic" initiative to preserve the city's diverse cultural heritage. The project, launched in 2019, was led by L'uvre d'Orient in collaboration with the State Board of Antiquities and Heritage, the French Institut National du Patrimoine (INP), and the Chaldean Archdiocese, with funding from the ALIPH Foundation.
