Sympathy Protest

Black people and whites joined here 2/27 in a 'sympathy protest' here, as they picket local Woolworth store on market St., to bring to the attention of public the lunch-counter racial tension in Chattanooga, Tenn. Local NAACP officials emphasize that the protest is not because of any local racial discrimination, but merely to emphasize the stores are part of a 'national chain, with one police here, and another in the south'.
