NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 17: Auctioneer Benjamin Doller, calls out the final bid of $38.1 million dollars for The Codex Sassoon at Sotheby's on May 17 , 2023 in New York City. The codex is the oldest surviving Hebrew Bible or Tanakh as its used today in contrast to the dead sea scrolls which are older but the books are in separate scrolls.
