The mosque, also known as the Hasan Bey Mosque, built by the Ottoman Empire in the city of Jaffa, resists time with its magnificence and architectural beauty, despite the attacks that Israel has been subjected to since its establishment. Located in the Newe Tzedek district in the center of Tel Aviv, Ottoman style Hassan Bek Mosque was built in 1914 by the Damascus-born Governor of Jaffa, Hasan Bek, in Manshiya neighborhood. The mosque, which was opened for worship by the Jaffa Muslim Community towards the end of the 1970s, continues to exist as an Ottoman masterpiece even though it has been attacked many times.
