(Original Caption) Al Rosen of the Cleveland Indians, who has been hitting so well in recent games, gives credit for it to the adhesive tape you see on his wrists here. Rosen says he was in a terrible slump all month. He broke his right index finger early in the season, wasn't able to grip the bat properly and strained his left wrist in trying to favor the right hand. Wally Bock, Rosen said, suggested taping his wrists. He did and he's been belting the ball since.
