Jupiter seen from the surface of volcanic moon Io. Io, the innermost of the Jovian Galilean moons, orbits so close to Jupiter that its interior is kept molten by the giant planets tides. The heat from the interior makes Io the most volcanically active world in the known Solar System. Jupiter is seen in the sky, top right.
