Born just a little more than a quarter of a century ago, Zilo Groove comes to the music industry with a diverse background. While his parents come from Cameroon, Central Africa, Zilo grew up in Paris, London and New York. With a busy diplomat father whose assignments took him to several countries, he had no other choice but to follow the lead of his family and travel around the world. Naturally, his music and visuals are a reflection of all his experiences throughout the planet.
He is a versatile DJ, a talented music producer and performer who also makes documentaries, films and videos. In addition to performing live with his posse, the Wela G. Crew and Nouvelle Soul, Zilo Groove loves to DJ House, Hip-Hop, Neo Soul, Afro Beats, Electronica, Acid Jazz, Latin, Dance Hall, Reggae and Dub.
He first started his entry in the mainstream music business as a freelance bass player for several mainstream recording artists and later embarked on his own journey. He taught himself how to play the guitar and the keyboard and started producing his own records.
For the past 5 years, Groove has been blessing the music community with House Music, Electronica, Acid Jazz, Reggae, Afrobeat, R&B and Hip-Hop. By producing so many genres of music, Zilo has been able to create his own style, which he calls “Afro Sal Soul”, a fusion of Salsa, House Music, clever Hip-Hop, Acid Jazz and Afro Beats. Some of his marquee tracks are “Hot Hot Hot”, “El Negro Tiene Tunabo”, “So Cool Baby”, “You Don’t Call” and “Change”.
Zilo plans on to release one Afro Sal Soul album every year. So start looking for his marquee tracks and if you like what you here, then crawl the Internet for more.
And if you still do not have enough and are still hungry for more Afro Sal Soul, then listen to Zilo or multidimensions.net and peoplefretalk.com
Those are 2 great social network sites where Zilo is currently the radio music director and is playing lots of cool music.
Stay Tuned :-)
