経歴: "Greazy Meal was the house band every sunday evening at The Cabooze The
Cabooze Bar in Minneapolis, MN for 2 1/2 years, 1995 into 1997, after which
they discontinued their regular house gig to explore opportunities around
the rest of the country. Due to popular demand, they returned to the Cabooze
for Sunday nights through the last three months of 1998.

Greazy Meal began in 1995 when a group of Minneapolis musicians who shared a
love for the soul and R&B classics of the 70''s and 80''s threw together a
weekly house gig at the Cabooze, a popular club for live music on the West
Bank in Minneapolis.

The vibe was very casual and the band stretched classic Marvin Gaye, Stevie
Wonder and Curtis Mayfield tunes into long funky jams that allowed the
musicians to showcase their formidable instrumental talents. A couch was
added to the stage decor to add to the soulful "house party" vibe, and it
wasn''t long before their Sunday night shows were packing in 700-1000 people
even on the coldest nights of Winter.

As word spread , famous guests began to drop in on the Greazy shows,
including Lisa Loeb who chilled on the Greazy Couch, and Chaka Khan who sat
in with the Meal on her classic "Tell Me Something Good."

In 1996, the band released their first CD of original tunes that leaned
heavily on their funky/soul beginnings. That disc, "Visualize World Greaze"
was soon followed by a remix album of those songs entitled "Digitalize World
Greaze". They released their 3rd CD in the Summer of 1998, entitled "Gravy".

In the summer of 1999, after a long and interesting run, The Meal called it
quits. Then, in January of 2003, they reunited to perform a series of shows
at the Cabooze for a benefit aiding the people of Zimbabwe. The shows were a
tremendous success, selling out two of three nights. Audience and band alike
had a tremendous time, and they decided to try to play together more often.

The band released their 4th CD, "Universe''s Baby", in the fall of 2004.
Currently, drummer Dave Anania is the assitant musical director for the
Berlin Blue Man Group, Jim Anton lives on the road with Johnny Lang, John
"Strawberry" Fields is a successful music producer in Hollywood. The other
members enjoy successful music careers that take them all over the globe
but they keep looking for the next opportunity to share the Greaze.
