Forgotten 2004 Asian Tsunami Victims in Thailand

TAKUPA, THAILAND - 2014/10/25: Weeds and wild grass grow unchecked at a neglected tsunami memorial park. According to locals the memorial site which was dedicated to unidentified tsunami victims, mostly Myanmar migrant workers, has been abandoned since 2008. This year marks the 10 anniversary of the tsunami that killed more than 230,000 people in fourteen countries, much of it in Southeast Asia. More than 5400 were killed in Thailand, many of them foreign tourists. (Photo by David Longstreath/LightRocket via Getty Images)
