Italian alpine troopers salute Giovanni Gronchi

(DOUBLE RATES APPLY) The Italian alpine troopers in Argentina all lined up salute the President of the Italian Republic Giovanni Gronchi during his visit to South America Gronchi is the third President of the Italian Republic, the first elected after the coming into effect of the Constitution of Italy; he is the first Italian President to visit South America, so for this occasion the Gronchi Rosa was issued, the rarest item of Italian stamp collecting.
