Open day 2015 At RNAS Culdrose

Air Day is an annual open day that allows the general public access to the working military Royal Naval Air Station which is home to a variety of military aircraft including the Melin helicopter and Hawk Jets, but also the Search and Rescue Sea Kings helicopters operated by 771 Squadron. This is the last year the Navy will run search and rescue operations before it's fleet of ageing Sea Kings are retired and the responsibility for civilian rescue is handed over to a private company operating from Newquay Airport.
