Senator Murphy Opposes Price for Health and Human Services Secretary

Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy argues against confirming Congressman Tom Price for Health and Human Services Secretary, saying that it is unclear what President Trump's position is on repealing and replacement of the Affordable Care Act, having made all sorts of commitments all over the map, that Democrats are prepared to work with Republicans to repair the parts of the law that are broken, his time in the house with Price. Murphy says there were many other choices that could have been made for selections to head the Department, but that Price had been the face of the campaign to repeal the health care law with absolutely no replacement, which would descend our entire health care marketplace into chaos, having offered only a token plan to replace it, describing the situations of two Connecticut families including one who would have lost continuous care because they were uninsurable but for the protections built into the law allowing them to pay reasonable Prices.
